Student Assistant - Supply Chain Due Diligence

Your tasks

You will be responsible for topics related to due diligence and human rights. This includes the following tasks:

Oversee the existing laws, regulations, and directives at the national and international level. In order to be up-to-date, you monitor and analyse legal and political developments that are relevant to our work
Assess and process data sources (like indexes and statistics) from various sources.
Establish an automatized process to support the assessments of data sources
Apply various research methods, such as a desk-based approach, to assess social risks in sustainable supply chains and prepare reports on the results
Prepare presentations and support general project work

Your profile

Enrolled students in the area of social sciences, agricultural economics, geography, environmental sciences or another related field, data analyst would be an advantage
Previous experience with process automation would be an advantage
High IT affinity and very good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
Availability of 20 hours per week for at least one year and available for on-site presence in the Cologne office
Excellent language skills in English (at least C1), German and other language skills are of advantage
Good research skills
Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms
Service-oriented thinking and excellent communication skills, especially in international environments
Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with an independent working style and pragmatic and hands-on attitude
Supportive and dedicated team player
Affinity to sustainability as well as environmental and social topics
