Student Assistant – Carbon Footprint Improvement

Your tasks

You will be responsible for topics related to greenhouse gases emissions calculation and methodologies assessment. This includes the following tasks:

You will support the Carbon Footprint Improvement team with general project work and tasks, including research of emission factors and development of Excel-based GHG calculations
You will support research activities for different areas related to GHG calculation and sustainability, including topics such as biofuels, low-carbon fuels, hydrogen, agriculture sector, land use change and others
You will support the team in preparing presentations and slides for trainings or customer communications
You will support the team in communication with different internal and external stakeholders

Your profile

Enrolled students in the area of sustainability, environmental sciences, agriculture economics, engineering, renewable energy, business or another related field
Previous experience with emissions calculations would be an advantage
Very good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
Availability of 20 hours per week for at least one year and available for on-site presence in the Cologne office
Excellent language skills in English (at least C1), German and other language skills are of advantage
Good research skills
Excellent eye for detail, ability to understand and explain complex issues in simple terms and to prepare professional presentations according to target group
Service-oriented thinking and excellent communication skills, especially in international environments
Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with an independent working style and pragmatic and hands-on attitude
