Senior Sustainability Project Manager – GHG Emission Calculations

Meo Carbon Solutions is an independent consulting company focusing on sustainability advancement. We support public and private sector clients worldwide in the strategic orientation and implementation of goal-oriented measures towards more sustainable production pathways and ecologically and socially responsible business activities. Our aim is to help clients achieve carbon-neutrality and net-zero by developing corporate sustainability strategies, calculating product and company carbon footprints as well as implementing sustainability measures, emission compensation and carbon trading. We are also involved in the development and implementation of sustainability standards to ensure sustainable value chains and social compliance.

If you feel we are a fit, we are looking forward to welcoming you in our team as Senior Sustainability Project Manager – GHG Emission Calculations in a permanent full-time position at our head office in Cologne.

  • You will develop customized greenhouse gas calculations for entire supply chains applying different tools and standards
  • You will be responsible for consulting projects with a focus on circular economy, bioeconomy, renewable fuels and energy, plastic waste and recycling, chemical products and many more
  • You will perform data research, analysis and evaluations for specific customer requests and the preparation of reports and market studies
  • You will perform in-depth analyses and benchmarks of different governmental regulations on GHG accounting for the afore mentioned markets and support transmission into certification systems
  • You will implement the concepts and processes together with our customers
  • You will support the further development of our service portfolio and manage proposals and tenders
  • You will be responsible for the whole project lifecycle including scheduling, stakeholder management, documentation, controlling, participation in client meetings and project workshops
  • You will perform company presentations at public national and international events
Your profile
  • University degree in economics, environmental management, chemistry, energy management, engineering, resource management, natural sciences, or other related fields
  • At least 3 years of professional experience after graduation
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in greenhouse gas calculations after graduation
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in project management
  • Proven hands-on experience in applying RED methodology, GHG Protocol and similar standards for different products
  • Additional experience in following areas of advantage: sustainability certification, policy consulting, Lifecycle Assessments
  • Excellent communication skills in English (at least C1) and German (at least B2), other languages of advantage
  • Excellent and proven writing skills with regards to proposals, project documentation and reporting
  • Very strong presentation skills as well as the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and to prepare professional presentations according to target group
  • High degree of initiative and commitment combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude
  • Very good computer and MS Office skills as well as high general IT proficiency 
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally (non-regular)
